Phillippa Prongué is set to assume the role of Executive Managing Director for Wates’ housing business at the start of the New Year, succeeding Helen Bunch, who is retiring after 19 years with the company. Reports Contract Journal
During Bunch’s four-year leadership, Wates’ housing business achieved significant milestones, including a 150% growth and a 73% rise in operating profit.
Currently, the business employs 380 people, reported a turnover of £320 million last year, and holds a forward order book valued at £2.2 billion.
In her new role, Prongué will focus on advancing this growth trajectory, with more than 10,000 homes either in delivery or planned within the development pipeline for the next five years.
Wates has also announced plans to expand its development team by filling various senior positions, including recruiting a new Managing Director for the London region.
