The plan is set for XPO Logistics to construct a major distribution centre in Motherwell. This development will happen in a 40-acre site with two-third filling parkland. According to the plan, approximately 300,000 square feet will be assigned for the warehouse distribution centre.
With the expectations turning to be around £40m, the members of the public are to be given a say on the new industrial development. The developer has formally submitted a proposal of application notice (PAN) to North Lanarkshire Council.
The company said that the scheme will address a market proven requirement for a warehouse of this scale in the M8 corridor through a 100% carbon neutral project. The site bounded by Edinburgh Road and Legbrannock Road will witness the developments.
