London Old Oak 158 flats scheme to start as it gets an approval

The plan near Central Middlesex Hospital with 158 affordable homes got a signal to move ahead in London’s Old Oak and Park Royal regeneration zone. Housing association Network Homes will be starting works related to the project soon.

Approximately one fourth of the new homes will be for London Affordable Rent. However the rental scheme will be applicable for homes with shared ownership. Architect Haworth Tomkins has designed the construction scheme that fits into the Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area. The actual architecture plan is designed for nearly 25,000 new homes.

The land which was meant for NHS use previously will now be transformed into a mix of flats and three-bedroom maisonettes. The construction of 158 flats happens in association with Network’s existing Luma development. The firm houses many NHS staff and creates a large communal garden for all the residents.
