Bowmer & Kirkland has started construction works for a new hub office in Peterborough. The plot 2 project forms part of the £120m Fletton Quays regeneration. This is led by site developer Bride Hall and Peterborough Investment Partnership.
The new hub by B&K is due to be completed in 2022. The project allows to house 1,000 civil servants from Food and Rural Affairs, HM Passport Office and the Department for Environment. The office will house civil servants across seven floors after completion.
The Government Hubs Programme is done with the development of 17 office hubs announced in areas including Belfast, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, and Manchester till date. With a total internal area of 8,010m2, the site adjoins the junction between London Road and East Station Road. It will also establish the “gateway” to the Fletton Quays development.
