Costain has gained place on the six years Surface Transport Infrastructure Construction Framework (STIC) with Transport for London. This will enable more sustainable and safer journey. STIC will help ensure walking and cycling projects continue to be delivered to a high standard.
The framework will also make sure that London’s road network has safe and well-maintained infrastructure in the future.
Costain will deliver the following, through this award:
- Enhancements to these assets where needed
- Renewals work on much of the infrastructure that the Transport for London Road Network depends on. This includes road tunnels, bridges, and river assets
- Early input, design and construction work.
The projects will be key to enabling more people in London to make journeys by bike and on foot. This will help cut congestion, air pollution and road danger throughout the capital.
STIC will play an important role in TfL’s work to support a sustainable recovery for London and the wider UK economy. The framework will also be used by TfL, London Boroughs and other authorities whose developments impact on the TfL Road Network.
