Willmott Dixon acquires Ladbroke Grove housing contract worth £25.6m

Willmott Dixon is picked for building a speculative office development by East Riding of Yorkshire Council. This will allow the contractor to start construction works on the Goole 36 Enterprise Zone.

Small businesses will use the building as council hopes and supply the nearby Siemens train factory that GMI Construction is currently building. This £8m business centre and innovation hub by Willmott Dixon is for the Rail Accelerator & Innovation Solutions Hub for Enterprise.

This phase one project, shortly known as RaisE will house 3,200 square metres of commercial floor space made up of office and workshop accommodation, conferencing facilities, and a communal café.

This phase of RaisE is being delivered with East Riding Infrastructure & Facilities Procured using the YORbuild2 framework. It includes the council’s in-house professional services consultancy.

The completion is set as early 2022 and phase two will take place on the same site. That will see a £50m centre of excellence for rail and research and innovation developed between Siemens Mobility and the University of Birmingham.
