Mace will be delivering a £140m scheme at 33 Charterhouse Street office as the London developer Helical has shortlisted the group. This site next to Crossrail’s Farringdon Station was cleared several years ago for the Crossrail station project.

The construction site is now ready to be developed with an 11-storey 200,000sq ft office. Financier Ashby Capital will be venturing with Helical to build the technology enhanced office space, including extensive views across central London and three terraces.

The scheme is set to feature an integrated digital platform to improve the building’s operational efficiency. It will become one of Farringdon’s first smart buildings and supports the workspace wellbeing experience for its occupiers.

The design of 33 Charterhouse Street was awarded as it was leading the way in sustainability. It became the UK’s first BREEAM 2018 new construction rating of ‘Outstanding’. Besides, Mace will look into sustainability expertise to reduce the embodied carbon.
