One month extension has been added to the government’s furlough job-protection scheme until the end of June. There are thousands of construction staff who have been furloughed under this job-protection scheme. The confirmation of this extension came on Friday from Chancellor Rishi Sunak to keep the social distancing measure active. Under this furlough job-protection scheme, government grants of 80% of their wages upto £2,500.
