A plan for the creation of new home for Billingsgate, Smithfield markets and New Spitalfields by the City of London Corporation at Dagenham Dock. The plans are submitted to London Borough of Barking and Dagenham which helped for the transformation of the former Barking Reach site. The project will be the country’s largest wholesale food market which is to be held in a 42 acres of industrial land. As of now the target is toopen the new markets by 2025/2026.
