As per the recent research reports, 99.9% microplastics are removed from drinking water in UK through water treatment processes. Water Industry requests Government, businesses & citizens to do more to prevent the plastic in drinking water. Pioneering water industry research has confirmed that about 99.9% of microplastic particles are removed from all the sources of drinking water. Microplastics are present in drinking water today due to the excess usage of plastic in society. The water industry is planning to do more research on microplastics & its impact on better understanding.
