Three European contractors shortlisted for £683m waste power plant

The European construction companies in 3 numbers have been shortlisted for the main design and build contract of a £683m waste power plant in London. The North London Waste Authority (NLWA) has confirmed that the Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) contract will witness the three firms going through the next stage of bidding.

The three European shortlisted companies are:

  • ACCIONA Industrial, S.A. (Spain)
  • CNIM Environment & Energie EPC SAS (France)
  • Hitachi Zosen Inova AG (Switzerland)

Invitation to Submit Detailed Solutions (ISDS) will be the next stage that these companies will continue through the end of this year while stepping into the New Year.

The announcement on evaluations will take place in March 2021 while the subsequent process for the waste power plant commences in April 2021. Probably by the end of 2022, a contract award is due to be made.
