Tritax which is known to be the shed developer has reported a record period of uptake of space and unveiled a 4m sq ft pipeline. To replenish its development programme, it has progressed pipeline plans.
In a trading statement on 12th October, the logistics warehouse developer Tritax said despite the uncertain economic backdrop, space take-up over the past nine months of 32.6m sq ft surpassed previous annual historic levels. This is 3% above 2018’s previous annual record levels.
Tritax has received outline planning for a 2m sq ft logistics park in the West Midlands. This last month’s received proposal is now subjected to judicial review. The firm has also submitted planning applications for a further 2m sq ft at other sites.
The new employment zone known as Symmetry Park Rugby will be built on a 114-acre site on land north of the A45 and M45 junction. This will be as part of a new mixed-use neighborhood for employment floorspace and of up to 5,000 dwellings.
It will be Europe’s largest and most sustainable logistics building at the former Littlebrook power station site in Dartford. ISG is expected to make the external structure wind and watertight by mid-November, and is expected to complete by summer 2021.
