Willmott Dixon will be starting two big project deals in Rochdale. Alongside, it is continuing a pivotal role in the town’s £400m regeneration programme. The first phase of Rochdale Riverside retail and leisure development is completed in the town centre.
Now Willmott Dixon is moving into the phase two of Rochdale Riverside project and has added a 200 homes scheme separately to its work portfolio while carrying out the work with the developer Capital & Centric.
- Phase 2 of Rochdale Riverside project – Willmott Dixon has gained a £2.7m enabling package while working with the council in partnership with Genr8 Developments. This project would be started during the next spring to establish 220 apartments. They would be available for affordable rent. Alongside, a hotel is planned that would be replacing the Baillie Street and John Street car parking site.
- Neighbourhood Rochdale – Willmott is working as build partner for Capital and Centric to redevelop the former Central Retail Park, a brownfield plot less than a mile from the Rochdale Riverside site. The redevelopment would witness a new community of 200 low carbon homes.
