Willmott Dixon acquires Ladbroke Grove housing contract worth £25.6m

CBRE Global Investors has shortlisted picked Willmott Dixon Interiors refurbishment of £38.8m Birmingham office block works. This will bring 10 Brindleyplace up to modern CAT-A standards, with the redevelopment combining 10 and 8 Brindleyplace into one building.

The combination of 10 and 8 blocks will create 212,000 square feet of open office space over nine floors. The redevelopment will also provide one of Birmingham’s largest available floor plates at more than 27,000 square feet.

A full strip back and internal reconfiguration will be created with this project along with the construction of a double height reception space facing Oozells Square and Cumberland Street. There will be a new entrance to Broad Street created, upon the redevelopment.

Approximately 15,000 square feet of additional space will be created with the extension to the office floor plates on floors one to six and improve amenities for the office workers. There will be no more gaps between 10 and 8 Brindleyplace.

The facade has been redesigned with pale grey brick. Floor-to-ceiling windows will see the installation with a full curtain walling system. Mechanical & electrical building services will be completely applicable along with the installation of solar control.

The project team at CBRE includes Associated Architects, Robinson Low Francis (quantity surveyor), Thamesis (development manager), Cundall (structural engineer), Venture (project manager), Wintech (facade consultant), and Couch Perry Wilkes (M&E engineer).
