A ten-year programme with construction works is being approved for Cadent gas deal. Cadent has categorized gas distribution networks worth £300m for the first five years and another £300m contract for the next five years contract.
Cadent has awarded regional deals to the following firms, with respect to their locations:
- Costain – East of England network
- Network Plus – North West network
- Morrison Utility Services – North London network
- Sapphire Utility Solutions and Enzen Global Solutions joint venture – West Midlands network.
The new deal includes operational activities, manages the delivery of construction, and associated services within each network, as the new firms take up the work. Sapphire Utility Solutions along with Enzen Global in a joint venture has landed in the West Midlands region.
The current deal of Cadent ends up in March 2021. tRIIO (a joint venture organisation owned by Morrison Utility Services and Skanska UK), and Balfour Beatty are the current strategic delivery partners.
