B&K confirms £140m Leeds build to rent project

After the launch of what is Leeds’ largest build-to-rent funding transaction and the two parties’ first joint venture last month, the $140 million project is being carried out by Glenbrook and supported by Legal & General. Glenbrook’s first residential project in Leeds is at Whitehall Riverside, and a second development at Kirkstall Road with 618 homes is expected to start later this year. After completing a 280-flat build-for-sale project at MediaCityUK in February, High Definition, it is B&K’s second project for Glenbrook.

“Following the undeniable success of High HD at MediaCity, we are thrilled to continue our great cooperation with Glenbrook,” said Paul Sykes, regional director at Bowmer + Kirkland. We all work together to provide high-calibre communities that people will be happy to call home, and sustainability, social value, and placemaking are at the core of what we want to do.

Sheppard Robson, Curtins, Abacus, Re-form, and Crookes Walker Consulting are project team members.
