Construction workers were demanded to wear masks by the Construction union Unite if they are unable to maintain two-metre social distancing guidelines. The Union has written to Construction Leadership Council regarding the concerns about the ongoing site operating procedures. The latest version of the industry-standard SOP has been published last week. It stated that “If you are not able to work while maintaining a two metre distance, you should consider whether the activity should continue, that management should minimise the frequency and time workers are within two metres of each other.”
