HS2 has picked bidders for £2bn track systems works and approximately £500m tunnel and lineside mechanical and electrical work packages. Nearly 280km of high-speed track and infrastructure will be covered with the works of winning bidders.
These track systems are some of the world’s most frequent and reliable long-distance rail services. Alongside, the track systems work is split into four lots. Lots 1, 2 and 4 have the same bidders shortlisted.

Lot 1 – Phase One (Urban – London and Birmingham) – £434m

Besides, HS2 selects the three bidders picked for the works worth £498m with main tunnel and lineside M&E package are Alstom Transport UK, Balfour Beatty NG Bailey JV, and Costain.
