Liverpool Football Club has decided to delay the £60m Anfield Road stand expansion plan for at least 12 months due to the coronavirus crisis.
A planning application for an 18-month schedule for building in this spring was due to go. The Liverpool FC has conveyed that it is a complex construction procedure which depends on the wide range of time sensitive variables, which includes construction, procurement, subcontractors, supply chain and the football calendar to make sure that there is minimal impact on the supporters which may take at least two summers to complete the project.
Currently, the project is estimated to be completed by summer 2023.
