Skanska wins rail bridge replacement contract worth £52m

Skanska will deliver a 6-storey office building as Developer Nord appoints the construction firm to start the works at Bristol’s commercial district. One Portwall Square project will witness the works starting from the next month in the 34,000 sq ft area.

The construction site is located next to Bristol City Council’s own 100 Temple Street office. The estimations for the project stand around £10m. The designs are developed by Architect Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.

According to design plans, the scheme has opening windows throughout the building alongside a passive in-slab cooling system. High ceilings come in place to create the best work environment for occupiers.

One Portwall Square is designed to meet BREEAM Excellent and EPC Rating ‘A’ standards. A more sustainable way of heating that offers cost efficiencies and a greener energy source as it also connects into Bristol City Council’s District Heat Network.
