Galliford Try wins renewal contract of Perry Barr station

The new £26m cancer centre at Macclesfield is yet to be built by Vinci. The actually scheduled main contractor Galliford Try has started the works of demolition in the month of February. Galliford has completely cleared the site for the new Christie at Macclesfield cancer centre which is now available for new construction works.

Autumn 2021 is set to the timeframe for completion of the Macclesfield centre. However the opening date itself has now been postponed to the end of next year due to covid-19 impact. Vinci is also the lead contractor for The Christie’s new £150m cancer research centre in Manchester. It has partnered for the integrated health projects, too.

“Galliford Try have completed the initial design and enabling works including the demolition of the existing unit that was located on the site as per their contract” said a spokesperson for The Christie. Furthermore the spokesperson added “We would like to thank them for their successful delivery of the demolition and enabling works.”
